After years of a few missed connections—ghosted plans, matching on dating apps and even working in the same podcast world crossing paths—we finally got it right. On a random Tuesday before Thanksgiving, we met for dinner at Kismet in Silverlake. Gary ordered the lamb meatballs (Alyssa was still holding strong as a vegetarian), and we spent hours talking about everything from Broadway to travel to the kind of art that actually makes you feel something. By the end of the night, we knew: some things are worth the wait.
On a quiet Wednesday “date night” at home, Gary surprised Alyssa with a bouquet of flowers and the biggest question of all. It was simple, intimate, and perfect—just the two of us in our favorite place; home.
The Parker House
A Jersey Shore classic, The Parker House has always been our go-to spot after a day at the beach—laughing, drinking an Arnold Palmer (or Spring Laker) and enjoying hot dogs & lobster rolls on the back porch! Just a few blocks from Alyssa’s childhood home, it’s a place close to her family and our hearts and we can’t wait to celebrate here with you.
